The summer theme count and graph pages may be used in a math center.  The bookmarks are useful anytime, but the summer theme is nice for sparking interest for close to summer vacation.  The reading charts may be given as summer “homework” for children to return in the fall and aren’t too demanding in terms of the number of books to record.

Another idea is to use this for a summer week theme in the middle of winter in northern climates, or a beach day reading activity.  We get tired of snow, snow, snow in Mini-snow-tah.  A beach day theme where children sit on beach towels and pretend it is summer can be a welcome relief, even in only pretend.  Free Summer Bookmarks and Count and Graph
