Social distancing circles can be useful for teaching animals and their tracks. Previously, I posted a 3-part cards printable PDF for learning animal tracks. Children are naturally interested in animals and their tracks. So, this idea is to have children “paws” here (pause here). Many but not all animals have paws. Did you know turkey feet are shanks? Well, teachers might want to use just some, just one, or all 16 of the animal printable circles. This is in our free eMember area. It is free to join, and no credit card is required. The log-in page is here.

There are two different PDFs. One is for letter-sized paper 8.5″ X 11″ and one is for paper 11″ X 17 ” if you have access to larger paper for printing. The signs are all in color but may be printed in black and white by just using such a printer.

If you don’t need them for actual social distancing lines, they would make spots for children to sit at the reading table or centers, as well.

This circle is one of the dog social distancing circles and it is easy to see the paws. You can explain to children that words like pause/paws are pronounced alike but mean different things. Our homophones lesson using the Bunnicula text is at this link, and it has a free PDF.
